About OIR

What We Do:

The OIR is a source of information about Rice University, its peers and the university's educational environment.

  • Gather data and synthesize information about Rice's students, faculty, staff and alumni.
  • Perform customized analyses to inform organizational decisions, evaluate and update policies and procedures, and plan for the university's future.
  • Prepare reports for federal, state and local organizations, educational consortia and other public agencies.
  • Respond to requests for information from within and outside the university.

Our site offers immediate access to some of the data we collect and the information we produce. Choose Students and Scholars, Faculty and Staff, Additional Resources, or Alumni for the most recent information about Rice.
